GAJALAXMI PUJA GORADA
GAJALAXMI PUJA COMMITTEE GORADA leads the grand Gajalaxmi Puja festival in Gorada village, Kujang block, Jagatsinghpur, Odisha. The committee plans the decorations, cultural shows and daily worship for the puja each year. Every October, therefore, devotees from Gorada and nearby villages gather at the puja mandaps. Because of this, village life slows down during the puja days as people enjoy music, lights and community events. In addition, the festival is very important in the Odia calendar and in the spiritual life of the villagers.

Villagers established the Gajalaxmi Puja Committee Gorada in 1998. The committee has successfully organized the puja for 25 years and boasts over 100 members and supporters. The “Gorada Gajalaxmi Puja” festival takes place in October. Hindus across the nation celebrate it under various names and forms. Gajalaxmi Puja holds significant importance in the Oriya calendar, and villagers celebrate it grandly, gathering at the Puja Mandaps as life in Gorada village comes to a joyous standstill.

ପ୍ରେମ, ବିଶ୍ବାସ, ସ୍ନେହ, ମମତା, ଭାତୃତ୍ତ୍ୱ, ପରସ୍ପରକୁ ସାହାଯ୍ୟ, ସଂହତି ଏବଂ ସହାନୁଭୂତିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ସଂପର୍କ ସ୍ଥାପନ କରିବା ପାଇଁ 1998 ମସିହାରେ Gorada ଗ୍ରାମରେ କେତେକ ଉତ୍ସାହୀ ୟୁବ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀକୁ ନେଇ “ଜଗତ କଲ୍ୟାଣମୟୀ ମା’ ଗଜଲକ୍ଷ୍ମୀ”ଙ୍କର ପ୍ରାଥମିକ ପୂଜା ଉତ୍ସବ ସାମୁହିକ ଭାବେ ପାଳନ କରାଗଲା। ଏହି ଅନୁଷ୍ଠାନର ଆଭିମୂଖ୍ୟ ହେଉଛି ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ଏକତାବଦ୍ଧ କରିବା ଏବଂ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ଦୁର୍ଗତିରୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାର ପାଇଁ ମା’ ଲକ୍ଷ୍ମୀଙ୍କର ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ ଭିକ୍ଷା କରିବା।
